MINI-REDS 3RD IN REGIONAL FINAL

Congratulation's to the club's mini-red Under 8s team who finished third in the South Wales Regional Final at Newport Tennis Centre on Sunday 9 December.

Following on from the team's win in the Monmounthshire qualifying event in November, which saw Huxley Elliott, Griff Thomas, Kitt Stephens and Phoebe Cuthbertson-Smith put the team through to the regional final, it was the turn of Phoebe Cuthbertson-Smith, Harriet Bland, Griff Thomas and Angus Lewis to do the club proud in the regional final, which saw them win easily against Rhondda Tennis Club, secure a 3-3 match score againt Newport, only losing on a points countback, and losing to the eventual winners, Cardiff Castle.

Evey player enjoyed several singles and doubles victories, with several sudden-death tie-break wins!
